The Betrayer

The Betrayer, the second book in the Hand Of Destiny trilogy is currently being edited.

I personally have always found editing a rather humbling experience. The writing is the fun part, but as the saying goes, all good things must come to an end. I’d dearly like to know who first said that. This is the part where I go over the book with a fine toothcomb and correct all the little flaws errors and slips; and that’s before the re-writes.

If that isn’t bad enough, I then allow other people to take their own toothcombs to my book as well.

But if editing is a humbling experience, it is also a useful one. Every edit is a lesson learned, and the author (hopefully) emerges from the experience a better writer than when they started. At least that’s what I keep telling myself. You’ll have to be the judge.
