The Sacrifice – synopsis
For nearly 200 years, Lysander has roamed the Earth, preying on humans and supernatural creatures alike. But when he drinks the blood of a witch who is dying of a fatal disease, Lysander realises that his reign of terror is about to draw to an end.
His one cure lies in the blood of a human girl which must be willingly given, but who would ever save a vampire?
Things are hard enough for Karen, what with taking care of her little sister single-handed and trying to keep up in college, but then two boys enter her life.
Phil is everything Karen could have wished for, but he has a secret. He seems determined to think badly of Lysander, the new employee at the pub where Karen works, and to her dismay, the feeling appears to be mutual.
As her life becomes more intertwined with both of them, Karen finds herself confronting truths she would not have believed were possible and battling a secret society that has lasted for 200 years. Lysander is at the centre of everything and Karen knows that her choices may make the difference.
